The Māia Health Foundation is an independent charitable entity set up to boost revenue and channel philanthropic contributions to the Canterbury DHB. Māia will also raise funds for specific, non-CDHB health-related projects that will benefit the Canterbury health system. We were asked to develop a bold and innovative funding strategy and assist with the launch in 2016, all the while engaging the people of Canterbury and sharing the internationally celebrated successes of the Canterbury health system.
We've launched and we're live! The funding strategy is now written, the branding campaign complete and we've hit the ground running - working towards our goal of raising $5.2 million by late 2018 to support two game changing projects in Christchurch Hospital's new building.
Project 1 - A large rooftop helipad
Project 2 - Children's facility enhancements
We're developing a way to grow giving and establish Māia over the next few years and we're bringing the community along with us. Later in the year they'll be an opportunity for the whole community to get on board…so watch this space. In the meantime, if you feel inspired to read more or want to know how you can get involved, click here to visit the Māia website.
Because it takes a community to care.
