Rotorua Lakes Council, a leading events local authority, wanted to bring about a festival of 'mud' to celebrate 150 years of wellness, healing and tourism around 'not your usual' kind of sludge.

Brown Bread was asked to write a business plan that would attract NZ Major Events (government funding), as well as to help its own Council make funding decisions. 

In a record two months, a well-executed feasibility study was crystallised into an operational 'ready to go' plan to bring in $1.5m of government funds. Brown Bread consulted the Council and regional stakeholders, and developed the plan govering governance and management, strategic objectives, product development, marketing and communications, budgets, resourcing and risk management.

Mudtopia is real - and it's scheduled to happen at the very beginning of December 2017.
